With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John P. Cogswell Sr. of Elmira, New York, who passed away on April 18, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Michael Clinton Cogswell; his brothers, Edward and Thomas Cogswell; and his nephew Michael Cogswell. He is survived by: his children, John Cogswell, Jr. (Maureen Wholey) of North Reading, MA and Pamela Cogswell-Nicastro (Dominic Nicastro) of Manchester, NH; his grandchildren, Jane Cogswell, John Cogswell III and Matthew Cogswell; his brothers, Michael (Dorothy) and Clinton "Kink" (Jane); his sisters-in-law, Carol and Linda; and the mother of his children Susan Cogswell (Bonnell) of Elmira. He is also survived by many family members and friends.
