It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Frederick Scheepsma of Elmira, New York, who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham H. Scheepsma and Anna R. Scheepsma (Ryan); and his daughter-in-law Robin Scheepsma. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Scheepsma (Bernabei); his children, John Scheepsma (Rebecca), Robert Scheepsma, Carolyn Swarthout (Christopher) and Elizabeth Scheepsma (Kevin Chapman); his brother Bill; and his grandson Cody Hughes. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
