He was predeceased by: his parents, John Conklin and Freida Conklin; his son Bruce H. Conklin; his grandchildren, Robert Conklin (MaryAnn) of Elmira, Craig Conklin (Cindy) of Florida, Tracy Masur (Mike) of Florida and Shelley Evans (John) of Waterloo; his daughter-in-law Victoria Conklin of Minnesota; his grandchildren, Russell, Bradley, Jordan, Michael, Brandon and Ryan; and his siblings, Norma, William, Marion and Floretta.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Eggersdorf Conklin.
