He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wheeler and Barbara Wheeler (Heess); his brother Fred Wheeler (Fritz); his niece Ann Marie Scorzelli; and his sister-in-law Kathy Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Wheeler (Woychak) of Elmira; his daughters, Jennifer Allington of Horseheads, Courtney McGrew (Fred) of Kingwood and Erin Dale (Steven) of Elmira; his stepchildren, Beth Barnes of Horseheads, Jon Jacobus of Elmira and Sybil Brhel (John) of Vestal; and his siblings, Jack Wheeler of Rochester, Joette Devon (Phil) of Avon Park and William Wheeler (Colleen) of Elmira. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
