He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Orvek (Kmecz) and John [Oravec] Orvek; his wife Dorothy Orvek (Felix); and his siblings, Anne Slaven, John Orvek, William Orvek, Albert Orvek and Michael Orvek.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin of Elmira, NY, Steven (Janine) of Webster, NY, Michael (Michaelle) of Walworth, NY and Kimberly Waite of Elmira Heights, NY; and his grandchildren, Virginia (Maura Anderson), Rebecca Koc (Rita Harstad), Jordan, Jeffrey (Jared Orvek) and Taz. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
