It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Edward Hughes formerly of Elmira, New York, who passed away on July 1, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Edward and Carolyn Hughes (Day); and his aunt Evva Day Dorsett. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Wigsten Hughes; his children, Timothy J. Hughes (Diane Volz), John Henry Hughes II, Catherine Magers and Daniel E Hughes (Lisa); his grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle; his daughter Cathleen M Qualey (Martin); his granddaughter Emma; his sons, William T Hughes and Stephen M Hughes (Linda); his grandchildren, Stephen M. II, Morgan and Natalie; his children, Patrick J Hughes and Ellen M Topping (David); his grandchildren, Abigail, Sarah and Brian; his brother Richard D.; and his siblings-in-law, Catherine Hughes and Joseph W. Baker. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
