She was predeceased by: her parents, William T. McCann and Irene McCann Cullen; her husband Robert C. Dean; her daughter Ellen Dean Friedrich; and her brothers, James F. McCann and William E. (Joan McCann).
She is survived by: her son Robert C. Dean, Jr. of Elmira; her granddaughter Melissa Friedrich of Elmira; her great grandchildren, Carter and Spencer Trumbull; her grandson Sean Friedrich (Valerie) of Elmira; her great grandchildren, Landon and Brayden Friedrich; her grandchildren, Mallory Freeman of Elmira Heights and Martin Benjamin, Jr.; her children, Martin III, Brennan, Preslee Benjamin, Noah Freeman of Elmira, Sgt. Jeremy Dean, Joshua Dean of Elmira and Tiffany Paul; her grandson Joshua Dean, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce McCann of Elmira, Beverly Bennett of Elmira and Richard Dean of Columbia Crossroads, PA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
It was Helen's request that in lieu of flowers donations be directed to the Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA, 2435 State Route 352, Elmira NY 14903.
