He is survived by: his wife Katherine Donovan Utter; his daughter Kerry (Adam Bonin); his grandchildren, Everett and Tavish of Portland, Oregon.; his son David Utter of Vista, California.; and his sisters, Reverend Joy Utter Hayes and Susan Utter McAllister (Dennis). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
