She was predeceased by: her parents, George S. Decker and Betty Jane Decker (Pruyne); her husband Gary W. Stewart; her brother Steven; and her siblings-in-law, Rebecca Decker and Leon VanAlstine.
She is survived by: her son Zachary G.; her daughter-in-law Sarah Stewart of Elmira; her grandson Owen; her daughter Lorraine E.; her son-in-law Scott Packard of Horseheads; her grandchildren, Abigail, Aaron and Olivia; her grandchildren-in-law, Susan VanAlstine of Iron Station, NC, George and Carolyn Decker of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Michael, Christel Decker of Denver, NC, Timothy Decker and Lawrence Huntley of Palm Desert, CA; her siblings-in-law, Carolyn, Richard Kelsey of Elmira, Wilbur, Ellen Stewart of Smithfield, TX, Dale and Carol Stewart of Colorado Springs, CO; and her pet Finnigan. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
Committal prayers and burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. Those wishing may remember Jane with a donation to the Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA, 2435 State Route 352, Elmira NY 14903.
