She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Durkin and Elizabeth Durkin (Murphy); her husband Richard H. Sample Jr.; and her son Timothy Sample. She is survived by: her son Kevin Sample; her granddaughter Susan; her daughter Susan; and her son-in-law Joseph Strong of Elmira. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
