He was predeceased by: his father Willie B. Brooks; and his granddaughter Aaniylah Brooks. He is survived by: his mother Velvia Avery; his stepmother Cindy Brooks; his grandmothers, Cora Howard, Mary Brooks and Antonette Johnson; his children, Zhavez Brooks, Letayshia Brooks, Shaquana Brooks, Earl J. Brooks II (Sam) and Anevay Brooks; his stepchildren, Marcus Blackman and Halonah Knights (Manny); his grandchildren, Azia Brooks, Nasyah Jackson, Leonna Correa, Jermarcus Brooks, Jha and Avontae Wilison Jr.; and his siblings, William Brooks Sr., Kimberly Cheatam, Marlo Brooks, Ruth Brooks, Anderson Brooks (Jenn), Mary Brooks and Lacinda Brooks. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
