She was predeceased by: her sister Karen Stempfle; her parents, Muriel Stempfle (Updike) and George Armen Jughulian; and her son Christopher Swarthout. She is survived by: her former husband Duane Swarthout; her siblings, Robin Harness and John Stempfle (Janet); her children, Timothy Swarthout (Connie), Scott Swarthout, Melissa Rinker (Daniel) and Karen Gordon; her grandchildren, CJ, Micah, Ashley, Katlyn, Holly, Kara, Gabrielle, Corey, Ethan and Dakota; and her great grandchildren, Isabelle, Madaly, Xoie, Mason, Izabella, Vaughn, Lea, Gabriel and Levi.
In lieu of flowers, friends and loved ones can make a donations in her memory to St. Jude's Hospital or the Josh Palmer Foundation.
