With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Brent Olmstead D. of Elmira, New York, who passed away on January 21, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Madge E. Blackwell Olmstead and James B. Olmstead of Elmira, NY; and his brothers, Reverend James Blaine Olmstead of Clinton, NY and Colonel Freeman Bruce Olmstead of Annapolis, MD.. He is survived by: his wife Martha T. Olmstead of Elmira; his daughters, Anne Olmstead Lonam (John) of Burke, VA and Amy Olmstead Brown (Stephen) of Arlington, TX; and his grandson Matthew Brent Lonam of Burke, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“I have just learned of the passing of Dr. Olmstead. My first job was in his office in the late 1960's. He was a professional all the way. He had a quick smile and gentle personality. I, in my late teens and early twenties, learned so much from him. I will always think of him with fond memories of working with him. My heart goes out to his daughter's and friends.
