It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha I. Hamilton (Elmira, New York), born in Berwick, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clark F. Slusser and Ethel Inez Kelchner; her husband James B. Hamilton, Sr.; her brother William Slusser; and her grandson Connor Patrick Blakeslee.
She is survived by: her children, James B. Hamilton, Jr. (Cathy) and Patricia A. Blakeslee (Bruce); her foster children, Helen Waldrop (Ricky), Mark Zerfing (Armida) and Jackie Engle (Chuck); her grandchildren, Tyler Blakeslee, Bruce Blakeslee, Jr., Morgan Lewis (Gage), Sydney Blakeslee (Thomas), Brock Blakeslee, Ricky Hamilton (Bobbi), Erin Prindle (Jay) and Jenn Glunk (Randy); her great great grandchild Ahmonza Hunter (From); her sisters, Connie Sexton, Debbie Thennes and Cindy Gensel; and her pets, Bentley and Barbie. She is also survived by many nieces nephews and cousins.
