With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anna Margaret Capawana of Elmira, New York, born in Orange, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Joseph and Margaret Gertrude O'Neill (Madden); her husband Joseph Capawana; her daughters, Sheila and Carla Guidice; and her brothers, Richard and Dennis O'Neill.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Capawana of Elmira, NY, Daniel Capawana (Michelle) of Elmira and Thomas Capawana (Bridget) of Fishkill, NY; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Nicholas (Leo), Clarissa, Clarisse, Cole, Douglas and Parker; her brother Kevin O'Neill (Marilyn) of Jersey City, NJ; and her cousin Robert Lawless (Patricia) of Bloomfield, NJ. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Heaven Cemetery (225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936).
