It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Joy Horne of Elmhurst, New York, born in Flushing, New York, who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Talley and Esther Mae Talley (Jackson); and her son Shelton. She is survived by: her sons, Sylvester "Bubbie" Talley, Jr., Patrick and Marvin; her husband Oscar Horne; her children, Craig, Oscar Horne, Jr. and Nicole Horne White; her grandchildren, Tori Horne, Craig Horne, Christopher Horne, Frances White and Tierra Hubbard; her great grandchild Neriah Mixon; her friend Lynn Steele; her nephew Sean Talley (Samia Talley); her nieces, Yovonne Horne (Paradise Styles), Jeanine Wiggins (Donald Wiggins) and Godsister Doris Fisher; her goddaughter Reverend Doreen Forde; her cousins, Juanita Butte, Mary Wright, Stephanie Johnson, Derek Wright and Dana Wright; her friends, Elizabeth Strong, Brenda Stewart, Trina Lloyd and Roxanne Solomon; and her close friend Tasha Harris. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
