He was predeceased by: his beloved wife Gertrude. He is survived by: his children Thomas, Karl, Rosalie Johengen (late Thomas), Paul and Anne; and his grandchildren, Samantha Johengen, Andrew Johengen (Julie), Andrew Kulikowski, Candice Kulikowski and Ashley Sullivan (Peter). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc.
