She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Victor Manuel and Eduviges E. Peña; her son Omar Diaz (Sara); her grandchildren, Marilisse and Josiah Diaz; and her siblings, Maria Paz Hernandez, Mercedes Peña, Lucinda Peña and Manuel Peña. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Margarita's name to the Hudson Valley Cancer Center in Poughkeepsie NY.
