She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Paulsen and Ethel Paulsen (Terjissen); her husband Clarence "Terp" Hornsberger; and her brother Marty Paulsen. She is survived by: her brother-in-law Robert Hornsberger (Jane).

“Our condolences to the family. Madeline was a wonderful person and our neighbor. We lived across the street (47 Market Street). She and our grandmother worked together years ago. I have spoken to Madeline over the years and sent greeting cards. I always told her that my son birthday was the 12th of February and hers was the 13th of February. She will be missed. Wanda M. Madeline would go across the street and care for our grandma Mrs. Thelma Huggins. I do remember Tony. I now live in Pennsylvania but I was in contact with Madeline from time to time I called her.
