He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence O. LaPlant and Freda LaPlant (Stocker); his wife Margaret L. LaPlant; and his siblings, Art, Dick, Dorothy, Joe, Donnie and Jim.
He is survived by: his children, Joan Paul, James LaPlant, Jay LaPlant (Mary) and Joyce Cognato; and his brother Manley LaPlant (Grace). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
