He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John J. Pogozelski and Mary Pogozelski; his wife Barbara; his sisters, Dolores and Sandra; and his children, Judith Sustack, John Pogozelski Jr., Kathleen McElroy, Steven Pogozelski, Daniel Larson, Lori Hogancamp, Jason Pogozelski and Robin Grant. He was also cherished by spouses, 23 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
