He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Joseph P. Stoeckeler Jr.; and his stepsister Sharon Krom. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sheeley; his children, John Sheeley (Gayle) of Chester and Theresa Sheeley of Cragsmoor; his granddaughter Lindsey Sheeley; his stepgrandchildren, Joseph P. Stoeckeler III, Erica Gamble, Katie Stoeckeler, Daniel Tucker and James Tucker; his siblings, Susan Sheeley Hildebrand of Texas and Donald Sheeley of Port Jervis; his stepsiblings, Richard Comfort of Florida and Colleen St. John of Louisiana; his sister-in-law Jeanne Roosa of Wurtsboro; and his nieces and nephews, Michael Roosa, Larry Roosa, Scott Krom, Chad Davison, Richard Davison, Lisa Smiles, Debra Krom and Christina Comfort-Jones.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice or the Joseph P. Stoeckeler Jr. Memorial Golf Course, or any charity of one's choice.
