It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evan Martinez (Ellenville, New York), born in Kingston, New York, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 39, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Margarita Acevedo-Soto; his aunt Alba Colon; and his uncles, Charlie, Victor and Kookie Martínez.
He is survived by: his father Edwin Martinez (Betty); his goddaughter Carmen Diaz; his friend Manny Diaz; his brothers, Ernesto Rivera Soto, Eduard Rivera and Joel Soto (Nicole); his nephew Noah; his uncle Radames Soto; his grandfather Sixto Soto; his uncle Ricky Martinez; his close friends, Carlos "Pooka" Pereira, Chris Negron and Nicholas "Bonds" Diconcilio; and also, Jaclyn Martinez, Martha, Juanita, Antonia Soto, Angie Martínez and Nidya Castaño.
