He was predeceased by: his father Richard John Yerkes; his son Darrick Yerkes; and his sister Donna Avery. He is survived by: his mother Gertrude Yerkes (Brown) of Greenfield Park; and his siblings, Pamela Yerkes of Oklahoma, Rickey Yerkes of Woodbourne, Randy Yerkes of Arizona, Cindy Yerkes of Woodridge and Jennifer Yerkes of Long Island. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
