He was predeceased by: his parent Alton S. Hare; his wife Jean Gillard Hare; his son James S.; and his siblings, Eunice Murphy and Maurice Hare.
He is survived by: his parent Ruth Snyder Hare; his children, Thomas Hare of Batavia, Andrew Hare (Dawn) and Amy Stucko (Marty); his daughter-in-law Mary Hare of Red Hook; his grandchildren, Tracy Belmont (Andy), Emma Hare, Maddie Hare, Mark Hare (Laura), Hayley Hare, Collin Stucko, Meg Stucko, Catherine, Dennis, Erin and Kerry Hare; his great grandchildren, Avery Belmont and Paisley Belmont; and his son Jim. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
