He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Thompson and Zelda Heywood Thompson; his former wife Madeline Waterman Thompson; and his sisters, Ruth Johnson and Martha Thompson.
He is survived by: his aunt Carrie Deagman; his wife Mary Calus Thompson; his children, Dianne Boeheim (Keith) of Batavia, Alan R. Thompson of Montana, Michael Robert Thompson (Anne-Marie Yunker) of Chesterland, Katrina Marie Petropoulos (Labros) of Chardon and Melissa Marie Thompson of Macon, Georgia; his grandchildren, Kathrine, Matthew, Elizabeth, Liam, Spiridon, Anastasia and Aidan; his brother Clifford Thompson (late Arlene) of Bergen; and his brother-in-law John Calus (Linda) of Missouri. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
