She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Blatner and Dorothy Blatner Laco; her stepfather Emil Laco; and her sister Marcia Vann (Jeffrey). She is survived by: her husband Javier "Jay" Fernandez; her son Juan; and her siblings, Donna Hughey (Patrick), William Blatner (Mary Cowhey), Jane Thompson (Daniel) and Peter Blatner (Shanon).
The family asks that donations be made in Beth's name to Doctors Without Borders in lieu of other expressions of sympathy.
