With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eva Broder (Eastchester, New York), born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on October 1, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Candela and Carmela Candela; her siblings, Arnold Candela and Connie Turturro; and her stepson Kenneth Broder (Judy).

She is survived by: her former husband Alexander Calabrese; her husband Charles L. Broder; her daughters, Toni Calabrese Boelsen (Craig) and Donna Nekiforos (Peter); her grandchildren, Marina, Annie Sourbis, Samantha and Christopher Boelsen; her siblings, Anthony Candela (Terry), Fay Blasi and Lucy Rucci; and her stepchildren, Connie McLellan (David), Charlotte Honcharenko (Eric), Chuck Broder (Pam) and Cynthia Paquette. She is also survived by eight step-grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren.

Donations in Eva's name may be made to Marion Woods Convent in Hartsdale.

“Dear Toni and Donna, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. I had been in touch with her via phone calls and cards. Unfortunately, I tried calling her recently and was unable to connect with her and even left a message at the Veteran's home. I am deeply upset that I did not get a chance to say goodbye via the funeral home and mass. She was an awesome woman and a wonderful friend to my mom Marie Adamo. Please accept my sympathy.
