With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Viola Effner of East Worcester, New York, born in Maryland, New York, who passed away on July 4, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stevens and Minnie Stevens of Schenevus; her husband William Effner, Sr.; her son Harry Effner; her grandson Joseph Effner, Jr.; and her siblings, Louise Loring, John Stevens, Jr., Richard Stevens, Edward Stevens, Robert Stevens and Ned Stevens.
She is survived by: her sisters, Helen Mykel (Charles) of Fort Plain, Irene Layman of Milford and Marjorie Dodson of Fort Plain; her sister-in-law Ruth Stevens of Schoharie; her brother Frederick Stevens of Fort Edward; and her children, Jean Graham of Warnerville, Mary Salisbury (Larry) of East Worcester, Bruce Stevens (Suzanne) of Warnerville, William Effner, Jr. of Cobleskill, Joseph Effner of Cobleskill and Kenneth Effner (Joan) of Richmondville. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
