He was predeceased by: his mother Irene Karlik Hunter; his sister Irene Hunter; and his brother-in-law Robert "Gus" Geremski. He is survived by: his wife Carol Hunter (Geremski); his children, Mark Hunter (Shannon), Michael Hunter and Melissa Avery (Daniel); his grandchildren, Emily Hunter, Mikayla Avery, Erin Hunter and Colin Avery; his niece Lynn Gilbert; and his nephew Rob Geremski.
