He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara (Kallfelz); and his siblings, Francis Herron and Robert Martin. He is survived by: his children, Stephen, Paul, Maureen Van Ness of Richmond, VA, Patrick (Mary Pat) of Cleveland, OH and Timothy; his grandchildren, Caroline, Lindsay, Sara, Jack, Connor and Grace; and his daughter Emma.
