He was predeceased by: his son Scott Gonzalski; his granddaughter Mary L. Thornbrugh; his parents, Joseph A. Gonzalski Sr. and Sophie Bach; and his brothers, Stanley Gonzalski and Joseph A. Gonzalski Jr..

He is survived by: his sons, Robert Gonzalski Jr. (Judy) of Jerome and Jason Gonzalski (Anna) of St. Cloud; and his sister Barbara Cooper (Tom) of Schaumburg. He is also survived by five grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
