It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Walters of East Syracuse, New York, born in Binghamton, New York, who passed away on March 12, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Walters and Melvin Walters of Mt. Upton, NY.; and his brother Thomas Melvin Walters. He is survived by: his wife Martha "Marty" Walters (Walsh); his children, Erin Gates (Shawn) and Thomas Walters (Jamee); his grandchildren, Jesse Gates (Lauren), Julia Gates and Callum Walters; and his siblings, Gayle Rizzo and William Walters (Andrea). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
