It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Candela of East Syracuse, New York, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Matthew shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Matthew farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Candela and Rosemary Candela; and his wife Suzie. He is survived by: his siblings, Frank, Joe (Carol), Kathy (Leo Heigle) and Steve (Bonnie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Donations made in Matts name may be made to his favorite charity, St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
