He was predeceased by: his wife Joan M. Ryals; and his daughter Dawn Marie Davis. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Cavanaugh, Dona Messinger, Bobbie Jo Massena and John Martin Ryals (Julie); his brother Louis (Lois); and his grandchildren, Stefanie Cavanaugh, Michael Cavanaugh, Sarah, Emily, Andrew Messinger, Kayla, Ryan, Olivia Massena, Jeremy, Joelle, Jonathan Ryals, Alexis Davis and Dakoda Davis.
