He was predeceased by: his parents, John Baker and Margaret Baker (Kerr). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Baker (Zesky); and his children, Danielle Gaston (Aaron Gunther), Helene Baker (Devan Coon), Kristine Capellini (John), Stephanie Baker-Loope (Jeffrey), Brian Baker and Lindsay Campbell (Donald). He is also survived by six grandchildren.
In his death, he donated his organs so that others could live. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UR-Finger Lakes Donor Recovery Network.
