He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hayes and Hilda Hayes (Becker); and his brother Arthur. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Nichols Hayes; his children, Jeffrey, Brian and Kelly Hayes; his grandsons, Jack, Scott Hayes and Gavin Patnode; his sister-in-law Gail Hayes; his nephews, Zachary and Russell; and his niece Jessica.
