In the vast expanse of eternity, Thomas shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Thomas farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Newman and Mary Daly Newman (West Hempstead) of Westbury. He is survived by: his wife Rita Ellen Backus Newman; his children, Brian Newman of McKinney, TX, John Newman of Williamston, MI and Mary Ellen Macaninch of Hoboken, NJ; and his siblings, James, Hugh, Mary, Kathleen, Veronica and Grace. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
