He is survived by: his wife Marian; his children, Walter Smith, Thomas Smith (Lori), Rodney Smith (Veronica), Daniel Smith (Joana), Brian Fernaays (Sue), Katherine Schwingel (Don) and Colleen Fien (Mark); and his siblings, Wells Smith (Jo) and Edith Ross. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
