She was predeceased by: her former husband Dominick Policastro Sr.; her son-in-law Antonio Colon; her stepson Gino D'Alesandro; and her brothers, Vito (Tulia) and Angelo Lonardo (Josephine).

She is survived by: her husband Antonio "Tony" D'Alessandro; her children, Catherine Colon and John Policastro (Rosemary); and her stepchildren, Josie Williams (John) and Tito D'Alessandro (Wendy). She is also survived by Many grandchildren, great grand children, several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the Wilmot Cancer Center in Maria's memory.
