It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James B. McAvinney (East Rochester, New York), who passed away on February 7, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, James is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard McAvinney and Mae McAvinney; and his close friend Carolyn Palermo. He is survived by: his sister Carmel Raforth (Frank); his nieces, Laura Raforth (Scott) and Lisa Scottow (Jim); his great-niece Grace; and his great-nephew Ryan.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Harloff Funeral Home (803 S Washington St, East Rochester, NY 14445).
