She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy McLaughlin and William McLaughlin; her husband John Leo McCarthy; her daughter Monica McCarthy; and her brothers, Wayne, Norbert and Harry.
She is survived by: her children, Joy Skinner, Michael McCarthy, Mathew McCarthy, Shawn McCarthy, Therese Rowan (Dan), Dan McCarthy (Denise) and Sheila Drew (Bob); and her sisters, Margaret Kwiatkowski and Theresa Stookey. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
