He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet O'Neill; his children, Edmund O'Neill (Melanie), Kelly Herrmann, Sean O'Neill (Chanel Brugaletta), Shannon O'Neill, Ryan O'Neill and Erin Claudio (Jadrian); his sister Patricia Betz; his grandchildren, Amber, Kyle, Justin, Luke, Jeremy, Colby, Benjamin, Paige, Ikema (Melissa) and Penelope; and his great grandchildren, Amari and Stevi.

“It is with great sadness did I write this. Ed O'Neill's work has been a comfort and entertainment for me for so many years. he was an absolutely great actor. I watched Married With Children religiously. it helped me through some very hard times and physical illnesses. I never got a chance to meet Ed and thank him for his work. But I thank his family. May God be with you all through this sad time. Rest in peace Ed and thank you. Don Wade”

As they were partners on the sanitation truck...Pete often said "if it wasn't for Eddie, being his partner" he wouldn't have made it thru to retirement! !.As Eddie keep him laughing all day long!”
