He was predeceased by: his parents, George Copenhaver and Betty Copenhaver (Mumaw); his children, Lance Corporal Fred Maciel and Leslie Bowman; his siblings, Dottie Ann and Mikey; his nephew Wesley; and his close friend Herbie Roe.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Copenhaver of East Meredith; his daughter Juanita Copenhaver; his siblings, Loretta "Jane" of Virginia, Jimmy of Virginia and Kimberly of Virginia; his stepdaughters, Kathy, Emma, Angie and Kimberly; and his daughter Celia Daniels. He is also survived by grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a very special friend.
