He is survived by: his children, Billy Groom, Christine Carman, Kerren Raia, Kevin Groom, Daryel Groom-Reyes, Jimmy Groom and Cathy Shannon; and his grandchildren, Emily Carman, Ellie Shannon, Ashley Raia, Jimmy Raia, Dillan Raia, Kevin Groom Jr., Matthew Groom, Erin Groom, Miles Groom, Tess Groom, Tommaso Groom, Cullen Groom, Brenna Groom and Liam Groom.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charles J. O'shea Funeral Home (603 Wantagh Ave, Wantagh, NY 11793). A Mass will be held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. Frances de Chantal Church (1309 Wantagh Ave, Wantagh, NY 11793).
