She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie (Ashley Hicks) and England; and her in-laws, James and Margaret Hackett, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband James Hackett III (Jim); her children, Donna of Urbana, MD, Amy (Mark) of Urbana, MD and Robert (Elisabeth) of Pickerington, OH; her grandchildren, Nina, Clive, Emma, Charlie, Colin and Connor; her siblings, Pamela (Thomas), Derek (Joan), Wendy (Patrick) and Shirley; and her sister-in-law Peg. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Charles J. O'shea Funeral Home (603 Wantagh Ave, Wantagh, NY 11793). A prayer will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society (http://www.cancer.org) in Sheila's memory.
