He was predeceased by: his siblings, Kathy Plourde (Jerry), Tom (Liz), Joseph and Danny; and his parents, Peter and Helen.

He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Hertzig, Christine Blumenauer and Peter Blumenauer (Kerry); his grandchildren, Rick Hubbard Jr. (Caroline), Cassie Hertzig, Jack Hubbard, Peter Blumenauer and Sophia Blumenauer; his great grandchildren, Augustus and Florence Hubbard; his significant other Carol Rempe; his siblings, Ginny, Billy, Paul (Rose) and Helene McCullough (Jeff); and also Lois.
