Though Gerda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gerda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Thursday, June 13th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. (200 E Main St, East Islip, NY 11730). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, June 14th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Peter the Apostle R. C. Church (70 Rockaway St, Islip Terrace, NY 11752).
