Ellen Mae Cowburn Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Mae Cowburn of East Homer, New York, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Godfrey and Pauline Godfrey; her husband Robert Cowburn; her son Scott Cowburn; and her sister Shirley.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Margaret Cowburn; her grandchildren, Robert "Robbie" Cowburn (Samantha) of Pittsburgh, PA., Christine Dressman (Rob) of Pittsburgh, PA. and Zachary Cowburn of Pittsburgh, PA.; her great grandchildren, Rebel, Winifred and Lainey; and her siblings, John Godfrey (Linda), Sharon Konrad (John) of The Villages, FL, Roxanne Godfrey of Minoa and Carolyn Klein of Minoa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home (5016 US-11, Homer, NY 13077). A prayer will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ellen's name may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the East Homer United Methodist Church, 2662 State Route 13, Cortland, NY 13045.
