He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Erkkila and Wesley Erkkila; his wife Lillian Patricia "Pat" Erkkila; his son Paul Edward Erkkila; and his brother John Erkkila.
He is survived by: his son Brian Erkkila; his siblings, Albert Erkkila and Barbara Erkkila; and his grandsons, Henry and Niek.
